Deep Survival Book Review

I need help with grammar usage and punctuation?
Hey! I’ve taken the ACT’s twice and my language score is really starting to hold me back! I should be getting 31+ composite scores, but I’m getting 27-29′s because my language subscore is a 22!
Is there any book you recomend getting that just has a really in-depth grammar and usage survival guide?
English is my second language (I’m a European immigrant so this doesn’t help with admissions!) Obviously this is very important to me because I may qualify for scholarships!
So basically I’m looking for websites, books, any resource that will give me a great grammar review! Thankfully I am very good with Rhetorics hehe.
Please remember I’m not looking for “ACT” specific study aids as I have purchased two and both don’t cover grammar deep enough for me.
I am not completely incompetent, but I need help!
The Chicago Manual of Style is the “official” book on grammar and punctuation in America. It is used at almost all universities. You can probably find a cheap used copy at an online bookstore as you do not need the latest edition. It is a very thorough book and is used by professors who have questions when they are writing their own books.
Your written English in your question is much better than that of most high school students who ask questions on this site.
You are an intelligent person who knows what questions to ask and how to ask them.
Good luck.
