Home Survival

What do I put in a "survival kit"?
My brother is out of town in a few days and want to make a gift. He driving to their new home – 1,500 miles away! It's a long trip and will take him and a friend all day to do it. Anyway, I want to it a road trip "Survival Pack". What elements should be included in the package? I want the items to be fun and practical …. Thanks!
What a fun idea! You can make a CD of an explosive mixture of music, jumping from techno to metal to Elvis to Beethoven Corvus Corax (qv youtube) by Frank Sinatra to Johnny Cash … you get the idea. My family always kept a wet cloth in the car for road trips, just because you eat too remain in the car to get our sticky hands. Whenever I have a good pillow, the company that can be placed between the head-neck-shoulder and side window so I could sleep without my head slides down the inclined wall into the right hand and wake me up. Fruits, nuts, sunflower seeds – small, bite-sized finger foods do not have to take your eyes off the road for consumption. Dried meat is my favorite, especially homemade. Water, juices, sports drinks .. Soda is bad because it goes through you unless you are trying to force them to have frequent "rest stops." A refrigerator and a pair of blue ice packs ™ candy more above. Additional bags for shells, cores, pits … Since there are two in the car – the books can be read aloud in small pieces, which provoke a conversation, like "Mysteries of a minute," "Was a Dark and Stormy Night", "Rest of the story" (Paul Harvey), quizzes (like Trivial Pursuit) or logic puzzles. A travel guide might be interesting, if one covering the route you are taking. Audio books for the passenger to nap. I listened to BBC radio from The Hobbit (on tape) all the way from San Francisco to Los Angeles. If I were not entertaining children with her, I would have turned to other books just to keep a little variety. I would take a pass on the hand-held electronic game. They can entertain passengers, but he's a murderer in the conversation. Movies. Just kidding. A digital camera. Tell them you expect to see a hundred photographs of the trip, fifty photos of the new place, published shortly after his arrival.
