.22 survival
Wilderness / Urban updates of survival for a Ruger 10/22?

I asked this question before … But I got responses like "melt and buy a real gun … "The Ruger 10/22 is the most reliable ever made 22. They have not even changed the design since it was first manufactured. In a survival situation, most of the bugs that are seen are small game. There are stories of people lowering deer, elk, bears or whatever with a single shot. My Grandpappy killed a deer with a single shot from a shot 22 … Also, to urban survival, if I shot through the street with a .22, that could really ruin my day. .22 'S dont have enough power to penetrate the other side of the lens, so that bounce inside. If a .22 is what you already have, use it. A .22 is as viable in a shooting as a 30/06, and not everyone can treat a gunshot wound. Your leathal as HIV. And I have a Ruger, and I know what updates it would be, so no jokes, just good solid facts about upderades for the venerable 10/22.

The 10/22 is a great gun. I would not recommend to fight though. With a .22 lot become more "cover" than with a regular rifle. The reason the military uses of large rounds is that you want to be able to penetrate through cover for get where they are ill. .22 LR just does not do that like you need to. Besides the .22 LR lacks much in terms of scope. In 150yds begins brake hard. This lack speed reduces the effectiveness. An AR 15 has plenty of energy at 300 yds and beyond to stop fighting. I love the .22 and a shotgun, or a weapon that was used, no intention of hostility back … would work. But it is better to have more than back of his ass. That said … A low to medium power and range of extra magazines makes a decent rifle! I clean the trigger and if you just want to retouch Maybe look after market barrels and stocks.
