24 Week Survival Rate

stress about possible preemie?

Ok, so this might sound stupid, but I’m stressed about the possibililty of having a preterm baby. I’m about 24 weeks, and I know it’s still too early for the baby to have a good survival rate outside my womb. I’m not having any signs or symptoms of having early labour, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Are there always signs? Am I the only that worries about this?

When you are pregnant you begin to worry about almost any and every complication there could possibly be, especially if it is your first. And every mom to be worries about loosing their baby, though that fear usually lessens the closer they get to their due date. I used to tell myself that if I talked about something it wouldn’t happen. Superstition, I know, but it helped my not be so afraid, and I still do it now in my everyday life.

Find a relaxation technique that works for you to work your way through those disturbing thoughts.
