In this book the author takes a secondary character and an incredible story unfolds another incredible series. Bean, the innocent child, has a past that begins with the escaping from a clandestine laboratory, as an infant, in a water tank at the bottom of a toilet.

Then in the streets of Amsterdam, where bands survive homeless children have their own code of survival. Here he meets a very dangerous character who manages to not get killed, but no more of them.

Finally, it ends at the Battle School in space where he met Ender. Ender did not even know the potential of Bean. You can read about this encounter in the book Ender's Game, but in this novel, Ender's Shadow, you get the story of the Battle School Bean's viewpoint.

The author, Orson Scott Card, it does new in this story. You create a character that is so captivating that you can not get away from this book. Bean, has skills that many, if not supernatural, they are super.

Again, this story offers as Orson Scott Card, and the consequences are great. Bean turns out to be one of the smallest, the most powerful characters I read.

The conclusion of this book is so amazing is amazing. There are 3 sequels. And each one is another piece of the puzzle that is Bean. It's quite a random sequence of events that leads from a small child for a man of remarkable stature and leadership.

All and all this book is a very, very good read as are the sequels. I would recommend this to any fan of Sci Fi.
