average survival lung cancer
stage lung cancer survival rate 3b?

my aunt was just diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer. How much longer going to have? I realize that no one in this case is God. but I just want to know the average of all though I hope they can beat the odds.

I had an aunt who was diagnosed with exactly the same. We did some research on the Internet when she was first diagnosed (because she was very scarce on the details of your doctor told her) and most went on 4-5 years term. And for a patient in stage 3b, the chances of living five years was, if I remember correctly, between 10-20%. It managed to fight through it a little more than nineteen months. But it could not last any longer than that. Always depends on the patient. Some can only live three weeks, and some might make five or more years. Hope this helps, it is sad to have to answer a question about the circumstances in this way. I wish your aunt you and your family the best. :]
