Do you ever feel like you can’t trust people when you go out in the world?

Whether on the roads driving, in stores, at work, at the movies, restaurants, wherever you go, do you ever get this somewhat unsafe or distrustful feeling, like you always have to kind of watch your back or listen to anything anyone says with a grain of salt and hold them several feet in front of you (lol), when you talk to them, and not just dive right in?

I feel like that alot of the time because you just never really know what the other person’s intentions are, where they’re coming from, if they have your best intentions at their heart (which they don’t, people are only out for themselves), etc.

What I noticed when I go out and about is yeah, it’s very silly to be afraid and distrustful of everyone, depends where you go, but sadly, many people are ego-centric, hell it’s a survival mechanism, and it’s just hard to really “trust” people.

I always worry if my car will be scratched or be okay, or if someone will trouble me.

How do you get over this fear?

as a college student, i worry about that a lot, depending on where i am, what time i go out, and whether i’m alone. you just have to go about your business and hope no one bothers you. focus on what you’re doing, and you should be fine.
