Did I just torrented Left 4 Dead without knowing?
I tried the Freaky Friday Deal of Left 4 Dead and loved it, and my dad was in the Philippines doing some business there. One night, I asked him if he could find Left 4 Dead somewhere. 2 weeks later, he gives me 2 CD’s labeled “CD 1″ and “CD 2″, with a guide on how to install Left 4 Dead. Here’s what the install guide said:
1. Create a new folder.
2. Rename it Left 4 Dead.
3. Copy the file from disc 1, and then paste it in your Left 4 Dead Folder.
4. Do the same on Disc 2.
5. Then, refresh it and right click your Left 4 Dead folder.
6. Choose Properties, and click Advanced.
7. Put a check on Ready for archiving.
8. Click on the Left 4 Dead Icon, and enjoy!
When I was finished doing these steps, I noticed there was no Survival Mode choice and the background wasn’t the Lighthouse one. I click on “Play Versus”, and there is no games available. Did my dad give me a torrent of Left 4 Dead?
Sounds like he gave you a CD ROM with Left for dead saved on it.
