Cancer Survival Rates By Type
All the women close to him in his past have passed away. I have two types of cancer. Will we ever get married?
My boyfirend is the man I want to marry…I have known from the beginning. He has had a rough past and its not mine to tell but in brief…his mother passed when he was a child and his step mother when he was a teenager. As he stepped into adulthood we met and fell in love. Months later I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. One year later his grandmother passed away and the next day I was diagnosed with leukemia…the next day the said with the type I have and the time it was caught I have a lowered survival rate. I am in 100% remission and doing well and hes been by my side the whole time but I fear I future is to be stagnet and if it is to grow into a marriage my fear is that something will happen with my health and I will be the next domino to fall in his trageic history..
Do you think we will ever get married?
Do you think that I should withdraw to save the heart of the man I love or stay and love him as long as I can on this earth and for longer beyond?
Marry him. As soon as possible. Love him as much as possible with the time you have. You may end up living for 80 years together, you may die tomorrow. There are no guarantees in life, and the only thing that is certain is that if you leave him, then he will withdraw from everyone.
If your battle turns for the worse, make sure he knows what the time you’ve spent together has meant. His past is tragic, but his present doesn’t have to be.

Take Control of Your Cancer: $10.16 Cancer rates continue to skyrocket, and the overall survival rate for Stage IV cancer patients in the United States is a grim 2.1 percent. Clearly, the extensive use of expensive, sometimes ineffective toxins in conventional oncology protocols is a failing strategy. Even the few survivors of these harsh slash-and-burn treatments can have dismal quality of life, suffering with ailments such as nerve damage, heart muscle disease, and liver and kidney failure. And unfortunately, many conventional doctors discourage patients from exploring alternative treatment options. A featured doctor in Suzanne Somers’ bestselling cancer book Knockout, forty-year oncology veteran James W. Forsythe, M.D., H.M.D, offers a more cost-effective, personalized, and compassionate alternative to traditional cancer treatment in Take Control of Your Cancer: Integrating the Best of Alternative and Conventional Treatments. Dr. Forsythe’s integrative approach has yielded an astonishing 46 percent positive response rate in a 500-patient study. In Take Control of Your Cancer, you will find information on all stages of cancer, including: Warning signs of cancer How to pinpoint the causes of cancer and to avoid recurrence Preventative measures such as healthy diet and regular exercise Overview of how to choose what drugs and supplements to use How to take charge of your cancer treatment and maintain a positive attitude Successful case studies of 40 of Dr. Forsythe’s Stage IV cancer patients While Dr. Forsythe offers his patients conventional and alternative therapies on their own as well as an integrative option, Take Control of Your Cancer encourages cancer patients and their families to explore their treatment options and look for doctors who personalize treatment for optimal outcomes. |

Cookies for Kids Cancer Best Bake Sale Cookbook $13.19 Every cookie makes a difference! In December 2007, Gretchen Holt-Witt set the lofty goal of baking and selling 96,000 cookies during the holidays, all in the name of funding research for pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of kids in the United States and the disease her young son was battling. Armed with the determination of a mom on a mission plus the knowledge that funds for research mean more treatment options, better survival rates, and hope for the future, Holt-Witt succeeded in selling all 96,000 cookies and raising over 400,000 for new pediatric cancer treatments. Long after the ovens cooled, requests for more cookies along with offers to help poured in. Gretchen knew she was onto something. She and her husband Larry answered the call to action by starting Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (cookiesforkidscancer.org), a national non-profit that inspires people to host bake sales of all sizes, from desktops and porches to entire corporations and communities, with some raising more than 30,000 in one day. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer went on to partner with The Glad Products Company, inspiring thousands of individuals with Glad’s promise to match funds raised at bake sales. The partnership has received attention from Martha Stewart, CNN, Parade, Redbook, Ladies Home Journal, Woman’s Day, O The Oprah Magazine, the Today show, and more. With experience, passion, heart, and great stories from bake sale hosts, this cookbook was created to inspire more bake sales as well as directly benefit this amazing charity. 100 of the author’s proceeds and royalties will be donated to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer for pediatric cancer research. The recipes include easy-to-prepare treats for cookies, brownies, bars, cupcakes, quick breads, and more. In addition, there are tips on starting your own bake sale and inspirational quotes and stories throughout the book. |
