What are some classroom activities and games related to survival?

I'm doing a seminar in English on a novel. My thesis is that individuals in the novel go to extreme lengths to survive. I need something I could do with the class to demonstrate that people go to extreme lengths to survive. The game or activity should be about 5 minutes long …. any ideas? And I'm in high school so it should appeal to teens.

You can make your own version of "Survivor," using the characters in the novel. Name of the students of the characters, and role play the Results of the characters in the novel. Good luck.
