The survey was based on 10 categories of classification of popularity, behavior, manners, willingness to learn the language and try local cuisine, generosity, cleanliness, size, fashion sense and tendency to complain. According to the survey and in relation to language, knowledge of language is an important criterion: it is obviously very rude not to talk a little about the local language, if only a few words and phrases common to at least demonstrate that they have bothered to pick a pocket dictionary, or even getting the basic words to get his point across.

In Marrakech, although most people speak French with great fluency and English is good enough, you will make good friends and give an excellent impression if you try to speak the local language called Darija or Derija, dialect Moroccan Arabic. Moreover, with only a few learned phrases you will easily get around the city in case of encounter some people who only speak their local language. In fact, it's easy to find people who speak other languages (especially French, English, Spanish and some German or Italian) in cities, but it is much harder to find in rural areas.

So here are some words and phrases in Moroccan Arabic to be prepared for a warm and wonderful beach holiday in Marrakech, also known as "the Pearl of the South".
Â
Of course, the greetings are among the things basic and most important is to know. Here are some of the most common greetings, called "Salam Alek" in Moroccan Arabic:
Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hello "Salamoo Alaykoom" (literally means "Peace be with you"). The response to this greeting is "Salaam Alaykoom" (meaning "Peace be with you too") Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Goodbye "Bisslama" Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â How are you?: Insurance to hear two very common expressions used to ask if you are doing OK.

1.a. First, a little more polite, is "LaBas Alik?" (which literally means "There is nothing bad about you?). The answer would be" labas, Ham-doo-la "(which means" Thank God "or, more literally, "Praise be to Allah").

2nd Second, you will be "Cool-le-Beh hair?" Meaning "is While all? ". The answer should be" Beh-haired, Ham-doo-la ".

Other useful expressions are basic polite phrases:

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Please "Afak"
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Thanks: "Shoo-Kran"
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Sorry Smaha "-alee-ah" (also equivalent to "Excuse me ")
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Biss-Ha: "Enjoy" (food)

Other basic expressions are:

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Yes, "Nam" (although most people say Marrakesh "AA ¢", where "Ã ¢" is very guttural)
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â No: "The"

These are only some expressions and as little as it may seem, you will be amazed at how far we can get a little talk, a smile and some gesturing and pointing. In addition, once to learn these words and phrases, which already have some basic tools on which you can create new knowledge, if desired. Once you know Derija this basis, it is ready for your holidays in Marrakech!

Once there, you can stay in one of the many fantastic Marrakech hotels or, better yet, in one of the typical riads of Marrakech. You can also stay in a lovely villa in Marrakech, closer to the rural areas, where landscapes are stunning and where the inhabitants will welcome you with open arms.
