Do you have any survival training and are you prepared for a disaster?

My sister and I were talking about how we would fare if we faced some sort of societal breakdown or world disaster. If the bird flu took over, you had no utilities, running water and modern communication weren’t there, what would you do? Do you have a survival plan with your family? Do you have a pre-defined meeting place for loved ones? Would you help others? Where would you go?
She was in the Marines and I was in the Army. We don’t have plans but are putting one together along with survival packs. Wierd, probably. But you do never know.

Well, there’s only one way to find out. I guess the first thing to do would be to secure water and a generator and start rationing.
