Have you ever been in a situation where they really feared for his life?

if so, how old were you? did effect the way he lived his everyday life? did change at all? a man followed or attacked me as I walked home a little over a year, not Needless to say, I escaped. I was nineteen at the time, but before I had done well for a period of mild depression being made to fight for the survival of my definitely made me appreciate life more. at the same time it effected the way I related to men in a fairly negative. Often I wonder what would be different if it had not, or if I had not been able to escape them all. so, what's your story?
