Starting fires can sometimes be an arduous task at best, especially when used in damp or wet tinder. Have you been there? I'll take a look a survival tool that allows you to perform the same task. I put it through the test and share the results with you, giving you the information to make a decision informed before you buy.

From the Manufacturer:

 · a durable ABS case Compact

 · a special design stone bar alloy

 · a hardened steel front

  • Moisture tinder fire burns at 1300 degrees, nontoxic, odorless, smokeless, and burns longer when wet.

  · 5 "long and weighs 3.7 oz

· Â Â Â ½ " stone bar diameter.

Applications:

This fire-starting tool of survival was the idea for around the house as rights from the grills, fireplaces and fire pits. Of course, the main objective of this product is hiking, camping or any outdoor adventure that may require fire.

Test Results:

When I learned of the Strike Force Fire Starter I wasn'ta believer. How could be a survival tool as simple as it his duty so well? I have tried many other tools and methods that worked well, okay, but if were in need of a fire that do not have them. So I took it as a challenge to discredit this unit.

Tinder dry:

I set my tinder dry mesquite and have the right to work after the strike fire. A later start had a pleasant call. Tinder is easy to start as expected.

Damp tinder:

I slightly damp tinder mesquite and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Then I set my boot wet tinder scraping until I was a little pile on top of damp tinder. Now, for the moment of truth, strike, strike, strike, bam, there were flames and my tinder was burning. That worked fine, but how can I just soaked tinder?

Wet tinder:

To test the wet tinder that mesquite soaked in water for 2 hours. I removed the soaked mesquite cup and placed them is the fire box. So I immediately started scraping the magic powder (starter tinder wet) in a pile on top of wet wood, a strike after it had flames and intense heat was drying the wood and the wood began to burn. The stone could not have achieved this fire by itself, but with the incredible magic dust was not a problem. The combination of strength and strike the starter wet tinder is impressive.

Conclusion:

The Strike Force Fire Starter is a tool for all outdoor enthusiasts not should be without. After testing this unit I started taking mine in all their outdoor adventures and have been so impressed I bought one for each package family member. I see it this way, my family is prepared in the unlikely event that someone turned around and lost in the woods, at least, have the means to keep warm at night. I hope I have done my job properly and trained them to carry their packs in plenty of food and water until they are found or find their own way back to camp. Remember that the best time to learn the lesson to prepare is before something happens.
