Atheists: Since you're here by chance. How important is your life?

Does the need to leave your mark? Or is it survival?

I suppose not, in the grand scheme of things, my life is important. But since I'm here, why do most things and enjoy all that goes with being alive? For some reason, I always felt it was important to bear children. So I had one. And then three more (triplets). For these children, I think I am important. I am a father, a model, a teacher, a mentor and a friend sometimes. I am responsible and so in that sense, I think my life is important. It is important that finish what I started and ensure that, to the best of my ability, that the result is good – I leave free species depends, of value and people (my children as adults).
