Help me find non-fiction story please?!?

This quote was in my English: Creative Writing class book .. about a woman and her husband was an adventurer, and crashed in the mountains. Went for help, and she was left behind. She was pregnant, and she learned she was pregnant, and she was determined to survive. She found an old hut, and spoke to the animals to maintain their sanity. She ended up clubbing a seal for survival .. meat and the skin to make a blanket for the baby. This is supposed to be a true story, and I wanted to read more about what happened, etc, but do not know how to find the story / Book. It took place approx. in the 40s the 50s? It was in the book of expressions of Megan Rainey, 30 pages in the book, an extract was used to dissect paragraphs, etc issue. Since then, I've wanted to read more about it.

The easiest way to find, would be to consult a copy of the expressions. Am assuming you do not have a copy you used, but if you're near the school that took the class, then you might check to see if they have a copy you can look and see from where the wine extract. It is accredited in the chapter, but if not, check for the credit of the book. To use the extract, Rainey would have had to have achieved permission. Alternatively, check WorldCat to see if a library near your location has a copy of the terms and check there. There is a copy that contained anywhere near me or I would do that. All I can think of is that I married adventure, but it is not. Good luck.
