Marine corps survival school?

how many marines have been to it and is required you go? ps if anyone has gone do you really have to kill a live rabbit then ,skin, and gut it? will your fail the course if you dont do it

The Marine Corps has numerous schools that teach about survival. MCMWTC is located in Pickle Meadows Ca. and instructs in Mountain Leaders courses both summer and winter.
JEST is another one that teaches Jungle survival. Another one in Quantico Va. teaches pilots about survival skills. Survival is taught on a daily bases and can be learned from the Guide Book of Marines and taken MCI courses. Survival comes from common sense and being prepared for situations that might come up. To this day I always have a back pack with me when traveling that has enough supplies and gear that will get me through a week.
