Novels: What is big right now?
I’m currently working on a novel; cliche as it is, but I’m writing about a virus that sweeps through thought the United States. I’m trying to keep away from the “done before” ideas, and I think I’m making great progress with it.
My question: Would a book aimed more for the 17+ audience sell in this day and age of the twilight fan-girls/guys (No offense to you guys! I have nothing against Twilight!) The book forms more into a zombie-like tangent; focusing on survival and takes place in different people’s point of views (each chapter being a different POV).
Please don’t tell me that “Zombies are cliche and overused”, because I know that. I’ve worked with the idea and added small twists to set it out. I just want to know if there is a good demographic out there for it?
Have the protagonist fall in love with a handsome, golden eyed zombie that sparkles in sunlight, and you will sell a copy to just about every female worldwide. HAHA
