Survival Diet
Help with diet and exercise.?
Okay so I am going veggie due to animal cruelty (i don’t want your opinion on that please). I want to lose 60 pounds as fast as I can. I would like some advice on how to do that. I do realize going veggie won’t make me lose weight and because I am asking for advice doesn’t mean I am eating everything in sight. I actually eat once a day to two times a day. But drink a lot of juices and soda. Is that my down fall? I just posted a question asking the same thing and people told me to eat less. Well I can do that but on some days that wouldn’t be at all. I don’t want my body to go into survival mode and store body fat. So bottom line what exercises are good and what veggie diets are best?
Your answer is BURNING CALORIES. Not depriving yourself of food! Eating two small meals a day is POSITIVELY depriving yourself of needed nutrients. If this is what you’re doing, your body’s ALREADY in survival mode. And if you’ve had recent trouble keeping the weight off,..well, that’s the reason. Eat SMART. For someone who wants their body to be a fat burning machine, you need to use your metabolism. Eat 5 smart meals a day. Breakfast is key. Eating gets your metabolism working EARLY in the day. Mix your meals with pastas, vegetables, and some fruits and grains. Eggs without the yolks is GREAT for protein. You can mix it in with salads. But this all is just the DIET end.
The other side of burning calories involves EXERCISE. Did you know working out with weights and cardio can burn up to 10 times the amount of calores than just doing cardio alone? It’s true!
If you simply stop eating, your body doesn’t just become thinner, it becomes frailer. It becomes unhealthy. You won’t have much energy OR strength, because you don’t have the muscle or nutrients your body needs to function. And muscle BURNS FAT, because it needs calories to survive. When you add muscle tissue, you become a more proficient fat burning machine. Know what else?? Once you go to the gym, and see everybody else fighting the fight, everything changes. You’ll never go back to being the same person who simply wants to lose weight by “NOT EATING.” You’ll become a more educated person who knows how to lose weight in a healthy way. You’ll look good, because you’ll be more well toned. You’ll feel good, because you’re EATING, and your heart is healthier. And from now on, YOU’LL be the one giving the health advice, because you’re living it!
Peace!!!!
