How do you know what baby products are safe?

I’m expecting my first baby (in 5 days!) and already have everything we need. But there are a few products we got as gifts (or i bought without thinking about it). We got the Little Noses survival kit that comes with saline drops and oral gel…has anyone used these products or know anything about them?
Also what items would you suggest and what items would you not suggest and why?

Congratulations and I hope you have a very safe and memorable birth experience. I think it is great that you are taking the time to think about what you allow to come into contact with your child.

Unfortunately, there are many ingredients in products (baby, skincare, etc.) that contain chemicals that are not healthy. It is prudent to be careful.
