If these emotions are not adequately treated can become all consuming and prevent the individual focuses on constructive measures to deal with the dismissal. You can derail the search work and destroy job interviews.

The first step is being honest about the depth and strength of the emotional consequences. Then we can process these emotions and regain control. A cathartic activity is to write your feelings. Together the company a letter detailing how you feel about them. Once everything is in the paper burn or shred the letters. Keep doing this until you feel the anger subside. Keeping a journal is another way to do this.

Recovery is always helped by talking to people who have been in similar situations. Join a support group and use it as both an opportunity to express their feelings and solutions Race brainstorming.

Update your resume and build a portfolio of accomplishments

Layoffs at work can be devastating to the self-esteem. Always remember two things – you have the skills and finds another job. A list of all the experience and skills you have. Highlight your strengths and accomplishments. Rework your resume to reflect these.

Do not leave your job without collecting references and letters of recommendation from the company. Select relevant work samples to demonstrate their skills as proposals and reports. Develop a portfolio that focuses on the value it can bring to a prospective employer.

I take this opportunity to Relook at your career goals

Use this time to reflect on their careers and reassess their career goals. Find answers to questions such as what motivates you, what are your strengths, what you enjoy doing, and what is meaningful to you.

Re-evalaute and make decisions about moving into something new and better, something in line with their values and motivations. Rewrite your career goals and develop a strategy to get there.

The dismissal may file a whole new career opportunity. Read some of the blogs of dismissal and the stories on the website and be surprised to discover how many people rebound and find a better job after losing their jobs. That can be difficult to imagine in the current job market flooded with layoffs, but for people who are willing to switch industries move to an area of more jobs or try a new career of dismissal can be seen as an opportunity.

Networking Home

Being open about his dismissal and to inform all relevant persons who are currently in the labor market. Develop a concise, but clear of what you're looking for and the skills you have to offer. Have business cards ready for brochure in a timely manner. Ask for business cards of people in network monitoring.

They adhere to a daily action plan

Develop a structure for your day including the planned activities. Set aside time slots for different network activities, job search, research potential employers, write letters and to send resumes.
