The Coffin Movie Review – Introduction

"Tempt fate, Cheat Death." That is the central theme of director Ekachai Uekrongtham film of the coffin. It is inspired by a controversial, but the Thai ritual where thousands of people turn up at a temple in northeastern Thailand found in coffins because they believe they are free of bad luck and prolong life.

The Coffin Movie Review – The Sequel

Chris (Ananda Everingdam), a claustrophobic architect goes through the ritual to save his dying girlfriend, Mariko. Sue (Karen Mok), a nutritionist visits Hong Kong Thailand, and does the same to be saved from cancer a week before his wedding.

After that, both of them experience what appear to be miracles. To the delight of Chris, Mariko awakes from coma. Sue not only survives a car accident, but also discovers that his cancer is gone.

Without But strange and frightening things begin to happen. Chris and Mariko are harassed by a woman in white (Napakpapha Naprasitte), and your baby. Girlfriend Sue, Jack dies suddenly in a car accident, but the spirit still lingers around her.

With the help of a professor specializing in paranormal cases related to the ritual, began to exorcise the ghosts disturbing them and reverse the wheel of Karma.

The Coffin Movie Review – My review of the coffin

The coffin open at number one at the box office in Thailand and we can see why. Filmed in provinces across Thailand, including 100 year old temple and the real cemeteries, the film features scenes pretty frightening but symmetrical, like hundreds of coffins arranged in a circle around a giant Buddha and a closet full of mirrors along both sides.

The film also shocks when least expected, after lowering its guard.

Credits must take account the performance of the actors. Ananda Everingham and Karen Mok really highlight the sensitivity of Sue, Chris and his vulnerability. Evil character but heroic Napakpapha Naprasitte is played excellently well.

However, the plot is still unclear as there are no links between Chris and Sue stories that I write The Movie Review Coffin and never discover the woman in white until the last minute.

In short, this is an exciting but touching story about coming face to face with life and death.
