Survival of the Fittest Means?
Survival of the Fittest was coined by Herbert Spencer, who was an economist. It was never part of Darwin’s Biological Natural Selection ideals.
But what does it mean?
The rich get rich because they are smarter. The poor get poorer because they just don’t have the faculties to get rich. Right?
Does it also mean a strong poor man can punch a rich man in the face because he has grown fat and lazy then steal his wallet?
Isn’t the term “Survival of the fittest” also used in Eugenics, genetic superiority and euthanasia?
We lost the war in Vietnam. The Iraq war was a failure and we are losing in Afghanistan. China can produce more products for cheaper and in larger quantities than we can.
Toyota makes better cars than GM.
Airbus sells more aircraft than Boeing.
Does this mean we are not the fittest?
Social Darwinism is a very tattered theory.
But I see the point you’re trying to make.Unfortunately…only the poor will suffer for America’s sins…the wealthy and the powerful…the ones who perpetrated all the evils in the name of profit…they’ll be fine.
So I find it difficult to revel in the notion that America is on the downhill.Though I find it impossible to argue with the premise.
