The entire play is very long. I’ve summarized the entire play in a paragraph:

There was a minister who believed that his daughter is possessed by the devil. He believed that witchcraft existed. He believed in God. He relies on the Bible. He did not understand why his daughter, Betty is not waking up at home. He believed that witches can fly. Abigail is the minister’s niece. She is seventeen years old. Abigail is in love with John Proctor. Elizabeth Proctor is the wife of John Proctor. She wanted Elizabeth Proctor dead so she can have John Proctor. She committed a sin. She accused Elizabeth of being a witch. She even had her friends to back up her story. Abigail and her friends also accused other people of being witches. Everyone believed her. There was a trial and court order for the accused people. Later in the play, John Proctor became one of the suspicious people accused of witchcraft. He was furious. He didn’t want to be killed. He fought in court for his survival. Many of the accused people fought for their own survival. At the end of the play, Abigail felt guilty. John Proctor is killed by having a noose tied around his neck.
