top 100 survival items

I have a couple of videos to share with you in this post I should start thinking about their future in the short term. But first I want you to get a "visual" than $ 1 trillion seems. For those of you who are numerically inclined that the number is $ 1,000,000,000,000.00. Here is the link to take a look at how this number literally stacks up in $ 100 dollar bills: target = "_blank"> href = "http://www.pagetutor.com/trillion/index.html"> http://www.pagetutor.com/trillion/index.html.

Now to put this in perspective with regard to our economy, take a look at this clip of a recent program Glenn Beck, where the amount of graphics Deb USA during the past 80 years:

Finally, we will take a look at Jim Cramer as comments on recent proposals to "fix" Washington's economy: target = "_blank"> http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/03/cnbcs-cramer-on-obama-its-amateur-hour.html.

To summarize all this for the time challenged: United States has accumulated an unprecedented amount of debt in the form of paper money with no visible effect stimulus in the economy, measured by both Wall Street and Main Street business. The likely outcome of this in the short term future is the devaluation of U.S. dollar against other currencies and runaway hyperinflation. And do not forget the proposed massive increase in irresponsible taxes will further reduce production.

What can you do? Here is my "short list" of the thoughts that I personally going to take some action in the coming months:

  • Invest or maintain their commercial real estate, but adjust its lease rates to keep intact their tenants. I have written a previous article on how even in a declining market value, revenue-producing real estate protects your investment capital better than most other vehicles. You is a real asset, income and tax benefits, all in one package.
  • Buy some gold, preferably coins. I know it sounds doomsday end, "but I'm realistic. When paper money becomes worth less," real "money protecting its value. Do not leave cash in your life, savings, but have a few thousand dollars sitting in a safe somewhere.
  • Supplies of essential items. Again, do not think I'm putting "Doomsday" from you. The reality is that many goods are sitting in port instead of being transported, because banks do not issue letters of credit. Local stocks will be exhausted soon and have some common elements disappeared from stores. What I do not know. But if you love your Pop Tarts in the morning, you may want to get some extra boxes … just in case. And if I'm wrong, well hell … eat 'em up!
  • Keep. Yes, I know that Washington has done a 180 and you are telling pass just as the U.S. consumer FINALLY decided to save some money. Yes, I know it will be worth less (unless they are adopted # 2, above), but at least they have something. I do not think that Big Brother government will be able to support rescue operations. Like the Dot Com bust, the numbers do not add up.

I have more to say on these topics in coming weeks, so stay tuned. We live in "interesting" times and the need be prepared to seize any opportunity that comes our way!
