what are some true survival stories?

for school we have to write a diary entry about how we think the person would have been feeling and then write another entry 6 months after and write how they got through it. any suggestions on some stories?

the dairy of anne frank is true so is that airplane that crashed on a snow bound mountain and the surviors had to eat the dead

there’s also one where a boy got half his head shot off and live. i think he was on a talk show a while back.

how about that one mountain climber who got his arm pinned beheath a boulder for three days. he ended up using his knife to cut his arm offf in order to free himself. he wrote a book about it but i forget what its called.
